EFICÁCIA DO EXERCÍCIO RESISTIDO INTRADIALÍTICO EM PACIENTES COM INSUFICIÊNCIA RENAL CRÔNICA: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease is defined as a slow, progressive and irreversible loss of kidney functions; a condition in which the kidneys no longer function as a result of the destruction of the nephrons, resulting in the body s inability to maintain renal metabolic and hydroelectrolytic balance. The objective of this work is to analyze the effectiveness of intradialitic resistance exercise in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. The study was carried out through a literature review, using the PubMed, Scielo and Lilacs databases from March to May 2020. Patients with CKD undergoing hemodialysis have some complications related to the disease. The performance of physical therapy promotes, for these individuals, significant changes in the prevention and delay of these complications. After analysis, it was possible to show satisfactory results such as significant changes in physical conditioning, psychological aspects and prevention of complications related to the disease.
