Perfil Sociodemográfico y Delictivo de los Menores Infractores en Medio Abierto en Granada de 2014 a 2017. Análisis Descriptivo y Evolución

Abstract

The social concern about offenses committed by minors has been reflected in the Organic Law 8/2006, which modifies\xa0the Organic Law 5/2000 that regulates criminal responsibility of minors in Spain. However, this group of delinquent\xa0minors is heterogeneous and diverse variables have been described in different levels of individual development that\xa0would explain emergence and relapse of such behaviors. The aim of the study is to analyse the socio-demographic\xa0profile and the criminal typology of juvenile offenders in a probation in Granada province from 2014 to 2017.\xa0Methodologically, data were ed from the annual reports of the Integral Service of Open Resources, which d\xa0a sample of 2,691 minors. The profile describes a male, 16-18 years old and of Spanish origin. A low academic level and\xa0inadequate parenting practices would be relevant risk factors. The main offences are injuries and damages to property.
