Ansiedad durante la pandemia COVID-19, en docentes de instituciones educativas del distrito de Yanahuanca en Pasco.

 
 

Abstract


Objectives: The objective of the study was to determine anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic, in teachers of educational institutions in the district of Yanahuanca in Pasco. Materials and methods: The focus of this study was quantitative and its methodological design was descriptive and cross-sectional. The population was made up of 353 teachers from a network of educational institutions in Yanahuanca-Pasco. The technique used was the survey and the measuring instrument was the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale or Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS), composed of 5 items referring to anxiety related to COVID-19. Results: Regarding age, the minimum was 23 years and the maximum was 65 years, with the mean age being 44.16 years. In relation to sex, 67.4% (n = 238) are female and 32.6% (n = 115) male. Regarding anxiety in teachers, the level without dysfunctional anxiety predominated with 89.2% (n = 315), followed by dysfunctional anxiety 10.8% (n = 38). Regarding the dimensions, the level without dysfunctional anxiety predominated in all dimensions, in dizziness it was 65.2% (n = 230), in sleep disorder 68.8% (n = 243), tonic immobility with 83.9% (n = 296), loss of appetite in 85% (n = 300) and abdominal discomfort in 86.7% (n = 306). Conclusions: Regarding anxiety, it was more prevalent without dysfunctional anxiety, followed by dysfunctional anxiety. In relation to the dimensions, the level without dysfunctional anxiety was more frequent in all of them.
