Abstract

Objective: to describe the physiological effects of physical exercise in children and adolescents with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). \nMaterials and methods: A systematic review of descriptive analysis of a set of data obtained from experimental clinical trials between the years 2012-2020 was carried out in Ebsco, Scielo, Medline, Medscape, PubMed Central, EMBASE, Redalyc, DOAJ and OVID in children and adolescents with NAFLD under intervention with physical exercise either aerobic or resistance, with or without diet. \nResults: 6 experimental studies that met the inclusion criteria were obtained, from which information was obtained on the number of participants, type of intervention, groups and methodology of this, as well as the benefits obtained in relation to NAFLD. From which triglyceride levels, BMI, body fat and cholesterol were rescued, before aerobic and resistance interventions from 2 to 52 weeks. \nConclusions: According to the systematization of the collected studies, it was determined that the intervention with the best percentages in benefit to the health of the patient with NAFLD was the mixture of aerobic exercise plus resistance and low dietary restriction, taking into account the intervention time, since in the long term the patient is allowed to acquire this as part of his lifestyle.
