Um ambiente de aprendizagem informal com recomendações de conteúdos para portadores de doenças crônicas

Abstract

Chronic diseases impose several limitations on the health conditions of its wearer. These diseases have grown over 60 % over the past 10 years, thus necessitating a software that can meet both the patient’s demand and the health specialist’s demand. In this way, learning more about the disease helps improve the quality of life. Web 2.0, over the years, has become a great ally in the search for knowledge, enabling the patient to become more active in the treatment of his illness. However, the search for information that fits the patient’s context can be difficult due to the large volume of information available. This paper presents an environment that seeks to alleviate this difficulty by analyzing the user profile, health data and relationships with people with the same health problem and thus provide a recommendation that is more adequate to their needs. Part of this environment consists of a Specialist Intermediate Module that provides access to a set of patient treatment information, seeking to make patient treatment more appropriate. Resumo. Doenças crônicas impõem diversas limitações as condições de saúde de seu portador. Estas doenças, nos últimos 10 anos, cresceram mais de 60%, tornando assim necessário um software que possa atender tanto a demanda do paciente, quanto a demanda do especialista em saúde. Desse modo, aprender mais sobre a doença ajuda a melhorar a qualidade de vida. Web 2.0, ao longo dos anos, se tornou uma grande aliada na busca de conhecimento, possibilitando que o paciente se torne mais ativo no tratamento da sua doença. Todavia a procura por informações que se adequem ao contexto do paciente pode ser difı́cil, devido ao grande volume de informações disponı́veis.
