O METRÔ DE SÃO PAULO COMO FACILITADOR DA MOBILIDADE URBANA E ACESSO À EDUCAÇÃO [THE SÃO PAULO SUBWAY AS A FACILITATOR OF URBAN MOBILITY AND ACCESS TO EDUCATION]
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the influence that access has on the choice of university students from private schools, when they decide to seek their education. The secondary objective of verifying the role of metro transport in this choice was also established. The tested hypothesis was whether the existence of facilitated access weighs in the decision by one or another HEI at the moment of choosing the student who intends to http://dx.doi.org/10.5821/SIIU.10015 XIISIIU2020 study at a higher level. To obtain the results, a qualitative survey of the survey type was made possible by a closed questionnaire with eight questions. The research universe was limited in two private higher education institutions. The discussion points out that the hypothesis was confirmed by the majority of respondents and revealed that among the factors investigated is access combined with the ease of having a nearby Metro line, the very determining factor in the choice of future students of higher education.
