On October 28, 2014, the Quantum of Time cruise ship was officially delivered to Royal Caribbean at a cost of US$935 million. The naming ceremony was held on November 14, 2014 at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey, USA, hosted by famous singer Kristin Chenoweth.
Service History
Quantum's first voyages began in 2014-2015, with seven- to 12-day cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas departing from Cambili. Over time, the ship's service range has gradually expanded. In 2015, the ship was redeployed to China and started sailing 3 to 8 days from Shanghai to destinations including Japan and South Korea.
With the addition of Spectrum of the Seas, Quantum moved to Tianjin in mid-2019 to continue its sailing schedule. Since 2020, all flights have been suspended due to the impact of the epidemic, but Quantum resumed sailing in Singapore in December of the same year, becoming one of the first cruise ships to resume operations there.
