Shape and duration of superradiance pulses corresponding to neon lines

Measurements were made of the shape and duration of superradiance pulses corresponding to the neon lines λ = 6143 and 5400 A. The time resolution in the measurements was 0.5 nsec. The shape and duration of the superradiance pulses depended considerably on the experimental conditions. The duration of these pulses at half-maximum ranged from several nanoseconds to 0.5 nsec.
