Thymic localization of erythrodermic cutaneous T-cell lymphoma

Visceral involvements of epidermotropic cutaneous T cell lymphomas (CTCL; mycosis fungoides, MF, and Sezary syndrome, SS) are rare (0.9% of all cases) and associated with a median survival of 1.4 years (1). Visceral localizations of CTCL have been mainly described in the spleen, liver, lungs and central nervous system. We report 3 cases of epidermotropic CTCL with thymic involvement. Association of auto-immunity and long-term complete remission in Sezary patients treated with mogamulizumab

Long-term complete remissions (CR) are rare in advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL). Treatment with mogamulizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4), has recently shown to increase progression-free survival compared to vorinostat in previously treated CTCL (1). CCR4 is consistently expressed by Sezary cells, and also by natural regulatory T cells (Tregs). Treatment with mogamulizumab results in a significant and lasting decrease in blood CD4+ CD25+ FoxP3+ Tregs. We report long-lasting CR associated with autoimmune manifestations in two Sezary syndrome (SS) patients treated with mogamulizumab. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
