Fifty seven new electron levels of odd parity in neutral praseodymium are presented. These have been found on the basis of an analysis of hitherto unclassified spectral lines with the method of laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). For all the levels the hyperfine magnetic dipole interaction constants A have been determined.

A series of precise measurements of the hyperfine structure (hfs) of nine metastable levels in a chromium atom 53Cr has been performed. For eight levels the hfs has been investigated with the method of laser induced fluorescence (LIF) on an atomic beam, and for the lowest-lying metastable level 3d54s 5S2 a still more precise method of laser-rf double resonance on an atomic beam (ABMR-LIRF) has been applied. A semi-empirical analysis of the fine and the hyperfine structure of the chromium atom, including many-body interaction effects, has been carried out in order to determine the value of the nuclear electric quadrupole moment, which amounts to Q = −0.22(1) barn.

Within this work new experimental results concerning the hyperfine structure (hfs) in the terbium atom are presented. Hfs constants A and B for eight levels belonging to the even-parity configuration were determined, based on the results of measurements performed using the laser-induced fluorescence method in a hollow cathode discharge at 18 spectral lines. The configuration in the terbium atom was hitherto very scarcely investigated; for seven of the levels examined within this work results concerning the hfs were obtained for the first time. As a by-product, hfs constants for 12 odd-parity levels, involved as upper levels in the transitions investigated, were also determined. A preliminary attempt at a semi-empirical analysis of Tb I hfs on a multi-configuration basis, based on the results of this work, yielded a value of the one-electron parameter as well as the respective radial integral , which can be compared with the values along the lanthanide elements series reported in the literature. More conclusive results can certainly be obtained once the experimental database for Tb I becomes more extensive.

Magnetic dipole hyperfine structure constants A for 19 even electron levels have been determined with the use of the method of laser-induced fluorescence in a hollow cathode discharge. In the case of 17 levels, the A constants have been obtained for the first time; in two cases the earlier literature values have been confirmed.

The titanyl phthalocyanine (TiOPc) thin film deposited on glass, silicon and gold substrate have been studied using Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), absorption and profilometry measurements. The TiOPc thin layers have been deposited at room temperature by the quasi-molecular beam evaporation technique. The Raman spectra have been recorded using micro Raman system equipped with a confocal microscope. Using surface Raman mapping techni que with polarized Raman spectra the polymorphic forms of the TiOPc thin films distribution have been obtained. The AFM height and phase image were examined in order to find surface features and morphology of the thin films. Additionally to compare experimental results, structure optimization and vibrational spectra calculation of single TiOPc molecule were performed using DFT calculations. The received results showed that the parameters like polymorphic form, grain size, roughness of the surface in TiOPc thin films can well characterize the obtained organic thin films structures in terms of their use in optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices.
