Continuum calculations of photonuclear reaction cross sections in 4He

The authors have tested, in the case of the 4He nucleus, the method of Delsanto and Quarati (see ibid., vol.2, p.161 (1976)) for elimination, from continuum calculations of nuclear reaction cross sections, of spuriosities deriving from the centre-of-mass motion. The results seem to indicate that the method is effective and the overall agreement satisfactory.

SummaryTheE24He(γ, n)3He cross-section has been calculated with a dispersive approach. The 2+,T = 0 state in4He at ≈ 30 MeV is supposed to exist. The exact isoscalar, the Born isovector and the interference cross-sections are also reported. A characteristic resonating behaviour of the corrected cross-section is obtained.RiassuntoCon tecnica dispersiva si è calcolata la sezione d’urtoE24He(γ, n)3H3. Si è supposta l’esistenza nell’4He dello stato 2+,T = 0 a ≈ 30 MeV. Si sono riportate la sezione d’urto isoscalare esatta, quella isovettoriale in approssimazione di Born e quella di interferenza. La sezione d’urto corretta presenta un caratteristico andamento risonante.РеэюмеС помошью дисперсионного подхода вычисляется поперечное сечение реакцииE24He(γ,n)3He. Предполагается, что сушествует состояние 2+,T=0 в4He при знергии ≈30 МзВ. Также приводятся точное иэоскалярное, борновское иэо-векторное и интерференционное поперечные сечения. Определяется характеристическое реэонансное поведение скорректированного поперечного сечения.
