Absorption enhancement of oligothiophene dyes through the use of a cyanopyridone acceptor group in solution-processed organic solar cells.

Improvements in the performance of small molecule-based organic solar cells have been reported through the use of a cyanopyridone acceptor group. This acceptor fragment enhances the absorbance of an oligothiophene-based dye and enables the addition of a solubilising alkyl chain that facilitates simple device fabrication from solution.

2-Phenylimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine derivatives highly active against Haemonchus contortus

A series of 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro anthelmintic activity against Haemonchus contortus. The most active compounds had in vitro LD(99) values of 30nM, which is comparable to that of the benchmark commercial nematocide, Ivermectin.

Discovery of ectoparasiticidal hydrazonotrifluoromethanesulfonanilides.

A series of hydrazonotrifluorosulfonanilide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for in vitro activity against the ectoparasites Ctenocephalides felis and Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Some compounds with excellent activity against tick were identified.
