Tetrahedron Letters | 1995

Synthesis of organolithium compounds from phenyl selenides

Alain Krief; Abdesslame Nazih; M. Hobe

Abstract Alkyl aryl selenides react with lithium arenides to produce, regioselectively, alkyllithiums and lithium arylselenolates. Experimental conditions, especially the temperature, have a profound effect on the course of this reaction and on the nature of the products.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1999

Synthesis and stability study of the new pentammonio lipid pcTG90, a gene transfer agent

Abdesslame Nazih; Yves Cordier; Rainer Bischoff; Hanno V. J. Kolbe; Denis Heissler

Abstract The cationic lipid pcTG90 has been prepared from ( S )-1-aminopropane-2,3-diol by N -acylation with N -protected 18-amino-3,7,11,15-tetraazaoctadecanoic acid and O -acylation with oleic acid. The former acid could be obtained from 1,3-propanediamine via tetraprotected caldopentamine. The stability of the cationic lipid in HEPES buffer has been studied.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1995

C/se bond cleavage of functionalized selenides by lithium arenides : Application to the geminal di-allylation of the carbonyl group of aldehydes and ketones.

Alain Krief; Abdesslame Nazih

Abstract Selenoacetals as well as mixed (O,Se) acetals react with lithium arenides and produce, besides lithium selenolates, α-selenoalkyllithiums or α-alkoxyalkyllithiums respectively. We took advantage of these reactions as well as of the ones involving the synthesis of atkyllithiums from selenides to propose an original method for geminal di-allylation of the carbonyl group of aldehydes and ketones.
