An Agile Knowledge Discovery in Databases Software Process

In a knowledge society, transforming data into information and knowledge to support the decision-making process is a crucial success factor for all organizations. In this sense, the mission of Software Engineering is to build systems able to process large volumes of data, transform them into relevant knowledge and deliver them to customers, so they can make the right decisions at the right time. However, companies still fail in determining the process model used in their Knowledge Discovery in Databases projects. This article introduces the AgileKDD, an agile and disciplined software process for developing systems capable of discovering the knowledge hidden in databases, which was built on top of the Open Unified Process. A case study shows that AgileKDD can increase the success factor of projects whose goal is to develop Knowledge Discovery in Databases applications.

ModelER: Abordagem baseada em modelos aplicada ao processo de elicitação de requisitos

Uma das principais atividades da Engenharia de Requisitos (ER) é a Elicitação de Requisitos, que compreende o reconhecimento e a descrição das necessidades dos clientes, de forma a refletir o negócio de forma precisa e coerente. Além disso, a maior parte dos problemas que ocorrem durante o processo de desenvolvimento de software geralmente é causada por falhas nas fases iniciais. Diante disso, tecnologias que busquem compreender e descrever os processos de negócio e que permitam uma visão mais próxima do domínio, com alto grau de abstração, como o Desenvolvimento Orientado por Modelos (<i>Model-Driven Developement</i> -- MDD) e a Modelagem de Processos de Negócio (<i>Business Process Modeling</i> -- BPM) podem contribuir para uma melhoria da qualidade da elicitação e especificação de requisitos de software, sobretudo quando apoiadas por ferramentas que ofereçam meios para automatização do processo. Este artigo apresenta uma proposta de abordagem baseada em MDD e BPM voltada para o processo de Elicitação de Requisitos.

Big Data: A Systematic Review

Big Data has been gathering importance in the last few years, specially through bigger data generation, and, consequently, more accessible storage of said data. They are originated at social media or sensors, for example, and are stored to be transformed in useful information. The use of Big Data is becoming more common in several fields of business, mainly because it is a source of competitive differential, through the analysis of the stored data. This study has the objective of executing a systematic review towards presenting a broad vision of Big Data. Were analyzed 466 publications from 2005 until March 2016.

HEALTHCARE iNFORMATION SYSTEMS INTEGRATION USING SOA: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

A crescente pressao pelo aumento da qualidade dos servicos de saude, bem como a reducao dos custos, tem feito com que as organizacoes de saude adotem cada vez mais o uso de Tecnologias da Informacao e Comunicacao (TIC) atraves do desenvolvimento e adocao de Sistemas de Informacao em Saude (SIS). Entretanto, a necessidade da troca de informacoes entre SIS e organizacoes tambem aumentou, evidenciando a carencia gerada pela falta de interoperabilidade. Esse problema e considerado complexo, porem a utilizacao de Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) apresenta-se como uma boa saida para essa questao. Esse trabalho apresenta uma revisao sistematica, elaborada com o intuito de descobrir de que forma e em quais contextos SOA esta sendo utilizada para garantir a interoperabilidade de SIS.

Technology assessment: Interactive digital TV applied to telehealth

Promote health universally is a major challenge for society. For this reason, the World Health Organization (WHO) set targets related to Primary Health Care (PHC), emphasizing the importance of the issue for the world. Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is essential for achieving the goals. Meet people in remote locations is one such current concerns. Telehealth is the use of ICTs to address this concern. But the variety of technologies and concepts, makes it difficult to choose the best solutions. Therefore, evaluation of technology is an important factor, so you can make decisions without major problems in the future. This paper aims to evaluate the use of Interactive Digital TV as ICT support for Telehealth based on the execution of the steps of an assessment methodology. Describing the relationship of technology with the principles of Primary Health Care (PHC), maturity and relevance, their benefits, their difficulties and political influences on their choice and development. Summing up the results in a SWOT matrix (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats).

A ENGENHARIA DE REQUISITOS E O DESENVOLVIMENTO DIRIGIDO A MODELOS: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA

O Desenvolvimento de Software Dirigido a modelos visa minimizar problemas relacionados a produtividade, portabilidade, custo e tempo encontrado nas formas tradicionais de desenvolvimento atraves do uso de abstracoes. Esse artigo tem como objetivo apresentar os resultados de uma revisao bibliografica que busca analisar as metodologias de desenvolvimento de software orientada a modelos para a Engenharia de Requisitos. Seu objetivo e apresentar as tecnicas encontradas e fazer uma avaliacao sobre o estado da arte da Engenharia de Requisitos e do Desenvolvimento Dirigido a Modelos.

Análise das Taxonomias de Telessaúde e Telemedicina: Uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura

As aplicacoes de Telessaude e Telemedicina estao ganhando mais importância. As novas tecnologias proporcionam cenarios inovadores e desafiadores. Estes novos cenarios trazem alguns beneficios em relacao aos problemas enfrentados no desenvolvimento de aplicacoes de Telessaude e Telemedicina. Mas essas novas tecnologias inserem novos conceitos e termos para uma area que ja e complexa. O uso de taxonomias facilita o compartilhamento e o processo de organizacao dos conceitos e conhecimentos. Este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma revisao sistematica de taxonomias propostas para Telessaude e Telemedicina.

INTEGRAÇÃO DE SISTEMAS DE INFORMAÇÃO EM SAÚDE COM A UTILIZAÇÃO DE SERVICE ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE (SOA)

The growing pressure to increase the quality of health services, as well as reducing costs, has caused healthcare organizations to increase the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) through the development and adoption of Healthcare Information Systems (HIS). However, the need for exchange of information between HIS and between organizations has also increased, resulting in the problem of interoperability. This problem is considered complex, but the use of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) appears as a good way to address this issue. This paper presents a systematic review, performed in order to find out how and in which contexts SOA is being used to ensure the interoperability of HIS.

Adding Quality in Software with a Proposal for Integration of Models Driven Software Development and Testing

Software engineering has as its objective the development of software products that meet customer needs. For this, there are new approaches to development and testing of software, such as Model-Driven Development (MDD) and Model Driven Testing (MDT), which aim to shift the focus of development and software testing for models and their transformations, and no longer in programming languages​​. This work aims to propose a process model for model driven software development, allowing the tests accompany every stage of this, adding quality to the developed software.
