Artificial Immune Systems with Negative Selection Applied to Health Monitoring of Aeronautical Structures

In this paper we present a system for aircraft structural health monitoring based on artificial immune systems with negative selection. Inspired by a biological process, the principle of discrimination proper/non-proper, identifies and characterizes the signs of structural failure. The main application of this method is to assist in the inspection of aircraft structures, to detect and characterize flaws and decision making in order to avoid disasters. We proposed a model of an aluminum beam to perform the tests of the method. The results obtained by this method are excellent, showing robustness and accuracy.

This paper presents the application of artificial immune systems for analysis of the structural integrity of a building. Inspired by a biological process, it uses the negative selection algorithm to perform the identification and characterization of structural failure. This methodology can assist professionals in the inspection of mechanical and civil structures, to identify and characterize flaws, in order to perform preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity of the structure and decision-making. In order to evaluate the methodology was made modeling a two-story building and several situations were simulated (base-line condition and improper conditions), yielding a database of signs, which were used as input data for the negative selection algorithm. The results obtained by the present method efficiency, robustness and accuracy.

Analysis of Structural Integrity Using an ARTMAP-Fuzzy Artificial Neural Network

This paper presents the application of artificial neural networks in the analysis of the structural integrity of a building. The main objective is to apply an artificial neural network based on adaptive resonance theory, called ARTMAP-Fuzzy neural network and apply it to the identification and characterization of structural failure. This methodology can help professionals in the inspection of structures, to identify and characterize flaws in order to conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity of the structure and decision-making. In order to validate the methodology was modeled a building of two walk, and from this model were simulated various situations (base-line condition and improper conditions), resulting in a database of signs, which were used as input data for ARTMAP-Fuzzy network. The results show efficiency, robustness and accuracy.

A Comparison of Methodologies for Intelligent Computing Used to Integrity Analysis of a Structure Aeronautic

This article presents the application and comparison of two techniques for intelligent computing to perform the analysis of the structural integrity of an aircraft structure. In this context, a ARTMAP-Fuzzy neural network and immunological negative selection algorithm are used in the identification and characterization of structural failure. The main application of these methodologies is to assist in the inspection of aircraft structures aiming at detecting and characterize flaws and decision making. To evaluate the methodology was performed modeling and simulation of signals from a numerical model using an aluminum beam. We performed a comparative analysis of methodologies, proving the efficiency of intelligent methods in the analysis of structural integrity. The results obtained by the method show efficiency, robustness and accuracy. Monitoramento da Integridade de Estruturas Aeronáuticas Utilizando um Método Inteligente Baseado em Sistemas Imunológicos Artificiais

Neste artigo apresenta-se um metodo inteligente baseado nos sistemas imunologicos artificiais para monitoramento da integridade de estruturas aeronauticas. Desta forma, tomando-se como base um processo biologico do sistema imunologico, utiliza-se o Algoritmo de Selecao Negativa para identificar e caracterizar amostras de falhas estruturais. A principal aplicacao deste metodo e auxiliar profissionais a inspecionar estruturas aeronauticas, detectar e caracterizar falhas, bem como a tomada de decisoes, visando evitar catastrofes. Para avaliar este metodo, foi realizada a modelagem e simulacao de sinais a partir de um modelo generico utilizando uma viga de aluminio. Os resultados obtidos pelo metodo sao excelentes, apresentando robustez e precisao.

Diagnóstico de Falhas em Estruturas Mecânicas Utilizando uma Rede Neural Artificial ARTMAP-Fuzzy

Este artigo apresenta uma rede neural artificial ARTMAP-Fuzzy para monitoramento e diagnostico de falhas em estruturas mecânicas. Portanto, o objetivo e utilizar a rede neural ARTMAP-Fuzzy na identificacao e caracterizacao de amostras de falhas estruturais. Esta metodologia pode auxiliar os profissionais na inspecao de estruturas mecânicas, visando identificar e caracterizar falhas, a fim de realizar manutencao preventiva e a tomada de decisoes. Para validar a metodologia foi realizada a modelagem e simulacao de sinais a partir de um modelo numerico utilizando uma viga de aluminio. Os resultados obtidos pela rede neural ARTMAP-Fuzzy apresentam eficiencia, robustez e precisao.

UTILIZAÇÃO DE RESIDUO DE PNEUS EM ESTACAS ESCAVADAS.

Resumo: O principal objetivo deste trabalho e dar uma destinacao ambientalmente correta para os residuos de pneus proveniente do processo de recauchutagem. Sabemos que este material e produzido em grandes volumes e sao lancados a natureza irregularmente causando diversos prejuizos. Um caminho ambientalmente correto e a insercao este material no concreto onde seu confinamento nao causara danos a natureza. Em paralelo a sua utilizacao no concreto ajuda a reduzir a extracao de areia, pois nesta pesquisa este material sera substituido pelo residuo. Foram realizados seis estacas em tamanho real, sendo tres utilizando a borracha e as demais convencionais. Realizou-se o ensaio de reacao de cargas normatizado pela NBR 12131/2006 em ambas amostras. Com isso foi possivel comparar os resultados e observar o comportamento da estaca com a insercao de borracha. Com os resultados obtidos pode-se concluir que e possivel a utilizacao dos residuos de borracha em substituicao a areia na confeccao de estacas tipo escavadas. Palavras-chave: Residuo de pneu.
