Introduction A food allergy is a group of symptoms occurring in the organism and resulting from consuming some food, where the problems are conditioned by immunological mechanisms. The symptoms may become apparent first in adulthood and they may be an initial manifestation of a latent allergy. Typical symptoms of a food allergy occur in different organs, thus not only in the digestive system, but also in the skin, respiratory system and circulatory system. Aim To assess the frequency of food allergy onset in rural areas of the Lublin region as well as to determine which factors induce such allergies. Material and methods A survey was conducted, involving the participation of 340 inhabitants of rural areas. The study monitored the knowledge and situation of the disease, concerning allergens, allergy symptoms, methods of treatment and opinions regarding such treatment. Results The analysis focused on 124 people with diagnosed allergies. Conclusions Introducing a diet did not result in a statistically significant difference regarding elimination of the symptoms, as compared to the patients who did not follow any diet. On the other hand, pharmacological treatment causes statistically worse results than using other methods or not being treated at all. The patients in whom allergy symptoms disappeared were more convinced about the positive character of their diet than those in whom the symptoms were not eliminated. The age when the allergy becomes evident does not affect its duration, yet it matters as to the time of its later elimination. The more symptoms were experienced by a patient, the longer the duration of the allergy was.

Todays companies increasingly use a variety of systems and information technologies to make a better use of the firm capabilities and to optimize the business. The paper pays a special attention to the use of ERP tools as an effective support to the management of the production system. ERP is a tool that integrates all the processes in the organization by creating one general database. Basing on the database the efficient planning of the entire management of the company takes place. There are several firm resources which are being considered such as storage, inventory management, deliveries tracking, production planning, provision, sales, finance and accounting, customer 54 A. Paper presented the most important information about the various trends in capital theory and their critical analysis made from the perspective of the Polish School of Cybernetics achievements. The analyzes were carried out on examples of an isolated and real production systems. The functions of the subsystems of the production system and the possibilities of controlling its were described. There were two and only two ways to control the production system, and it was argued that the only controllable production factor in an isolated system was human labor.

Due to the universal using of information technology in contemporary enterprises for data collection and processing, the paper focuses on presenting the areas and benefits of the one of the analytical tools supporting audit techniques -CAAT (Computer Assisted Audit Techniques). Particular attention has been pointed out to the use of CAAT techniques during carrying out audits in the certification process and, consequently, during making the decisions of the compliance, of the Quality Management System (QMS) with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Replacement of fossil fuel with renewables including biomass is one of the ways to ensure sustainable development. Biomass incineration is most frequently used energy conversion technology. Notwithstanding that ash arising from the biomass incineration process may cause problems with boiler furnace ash slagging and fouling. This paper presents the resulting figures for computation of indicators that may be used for anticipating ash reaction in respect of selected biomass type. The analysis of those indicators has proven that the Sunflower husks is characteristic of the highest risk of ash slagging and fouling, and Miscanthus Giganteus and wheat straw are characteristic of the lowest risk of ash slagging and fouling.
