The measurement of physical activity habits is especially important in the evaluation of the consequences of chronic diseases. The study tries was to validate to the context Spanish the scale Self-Report Habit Index (SRHI) of 12 items for to measure the habit strength. METHODS The psychometric properties of SRHI were analyzed realizing a analysis statistical of the items, an factorial analysis and an estimation of the reliability coefficient via Cronbach alpha. A sample of 222 university students of first year was used. The majority of they has practiced some type of sport during his school stage. To assess the adequacy of sampling and possible sphericity of data obtained, both Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) tests were performed (which resulted in 0.953) and Bartlett (which resulted in p=.000). RESULTS The Cronbach alpha coefficient is 0.96. The results of a factor mining analysis (unrotated, orthogonal) point to a grouping of the 12 items into a single factor with eigenvalue of 8.342 and a percentage of total variance of 69.52%. CONCLUSIONS Results show that the scale is valid and reliable to measure physical activity habits A clear similarity of the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the original version SRHI is shown.Psychometric Validation of the Spanish Version of the Scale Properties Self-Report Habit Index (SRHI) Measuring Physical Exercise Habits Background: The measurement of physical activity habits is especially important in the evaluation of the consequences of chronic diseases. Objective: To analyze the injuries found in Spanish aerobic gymnastics athletes during different editions of the Code of Points. Methods: A descriptive, longitudinal and compara-tive study was carried out on the epidemiology of injuries in aerobic gymnastics published during different editions of the Code of Points. Results: It highlights that the number of injuries decreased from 156 to 38 last year. This decline has been related to the restriction on the number of difficulties in the exercise and the number of elements to be performed on the floor. However, they have increased the number and value of the difficulties. Conclusions: Therefore, it is concluded that the changes made in the regulations are intended to safeguard the health of athletes and ensure that competition develops at its best artistic and technical aspect. Keywords : health, prevention, sports.

Abstract There is a specific anthropometric profile for each sport, which may be differentiated even in relation to the position, role or event category within each sport discipline. However, there are few studies on acrobatic gymnastics, and the goal of this work was to determine the anthropometric profile depending on the event category, as well as factors that predisposed to performance in these categories. The sample consisted of 150 gymnasts from Spain, divided into 8 groups according to the event category and the role played. The kinanthropometric measurements were taken through the procedures established by the International Society for the Advancement of Kineantropometry. The anthropometric characteristics, including body mass index, somatotype, body composition and proportionality using the Phantom stratagem were analyzed, and the results obtained from the different groups were compared. A regression analysis was performed with particular groups of gymnasts. No significant differences (p < 0.05) were observed between groups of female tops or male bases, although differences were found between female group bases and female pair bases. It could be suggested that higher values of body height, sitting height, the minimum abdominal circumference, percentage of fat and low biliocristal breadth predispose female bases to work in pairs rather than in groups. The conclusion is that the anthropometric measurements are not decisive when guiding a gymnast toward choosing one event category or another, except for female bases.

The aim of this study was to analyse the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and compare it with the effect of extensive continuous training (continuous running) on the variables of body weight, % fat and VO2max. 32 participants with no previous experience (mean ± SD: 22.37 ± 1.8 years of age, 65.52 ± 11.98 kg in weight, 170.66 ± 9.95 cm in height) were randomly assigned to a HIIT group or continuous running training group with three weekly sessions for 10 weeks. The HIIT sessions lasted 20-25 minutes using functional bodyweight exercises with a work/rest ratio of 20/10 seconds. The continuous running sessions lasted 60 minutes without exceeding 70% of personal VO2max. Both groups obtained significant improvements (p < .05) in the study variables: body weight, % fat and VO2max. However, the improvement in the HIIT group was higher in the three variables which suggests it is a more efficient and effective form of training in terms of total weekly volume/time than the extensive continuous method based on continuous running.
