Numerical analysis of flow and reaction in the raceway region of blast furnace

The authors developed a high-accuracy two-dimensional gas and powder flow and reaction model by using vector processor, and obtained the distribution of various variables of state near the blast furnace raceway regeon. Fluid and powder stream lines, vector of gas flow, powder holdup and coke-gas reaction, were calculated.
