A Class II malocclusion in a growing patient with hyperdivergent skeletal pattern and excessive vertical facial height is presented. The malocclusion was treated following a nonextraction approach, by molar distalization in combination with a removable appliance with finger springs and a high-pull gear. The space gained was used to retract the premolars, canines, and incisors.

This case report presents a Class I extraction treatment in an adult patient with bimaxillary crowding using a palatal implant for anchorage control. The implant (pure titanium 6 mm SLA) is inserted in the middle of the palate, after a careful radiological assessment on a lateral cephalogram. At the end of the healing period (13 weeks), an anchorage device, such as a squared trans-palatal bar connecting the maxillary molars to the palatal implant, is projected and placed in order to obtain the posterior anchorage control. The orthodontic treatment was performed according to the bidimensional technique.

The Invisalign method is gaining an increasing interest as an alternative treatment option in adult patient in multidisciplinary complex cases to simplify the treatment plan. The aim of this work is to show the importance of planning a multidisciplinary approach to respond at the esthetic requests of adult patients and to treat complex cases with high predictability.

To illustrate a modified archwire during space closure with anterior anchorage in Bidimensional Tecnique. The archwire used was a .018x.025 SS on the anterior teeth and .018 SS on the lateral and posterior teeth in order to maintain anterior anchorage using torque and uprighting springs as showed in Bidmensional Technique but exerting lighter forces (150 g). The double section archwire resulted to be an effective alternative option to optimize the lateral and posterior sliding mechanics with controlled tipping and by the application of lighter forces.

The extraction of a lower incisor can lead to satisfactory orthodontic results for patients with moderate to severe lower incisor crowding. Invisalign® is a treatment modality for such treatments, moving teeth with precision and reducing inconvenience for the patient. Three case reports are presented in this article supporting the above statements.
