A novel Mitsunobu-based protocol has been developed for the synthesis of a variety of symmetrical and unsymmetrical trithiocarbonates from primary, secondary and tertiary thiols using carbon disulfide, in good to excellent yields. This protocol is mild and efficient compared to other reported methods.

A quick and efficient, one-pot synthesis of carbazates was accomplished in high yields by the reaction of various primary, secondary, and tertiary alkyl halides with a variety of substituted hydrazines using Amberlite IRA 400 basic resin/CO2 system. The reaction conditions were mild with simpler work-up procedures than the previously reported methods.

Abstract A quick, efficient, one-pot synthesis of carbazates was accomplished in high yields by the reaction of various tosylates of primary, secondary, and tert alcohols, with a variety of substituted hydrazines using the benzyltrimethylammonium hydroxide (Triton-B)/CO2 system. The reaction conditions are mild with simpler workup procedures than the reported methods.

A novel Mitsunobu-based protocol has been developed for the synthesis of carbazates and dithiocarbazates through the variety of corresponding primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols and various kinds of substituted hydrazines using Mitsunobu’s reagent and CO2/CS2 system, in good to excellent yields.

A convenient and microwave-promoted novel protocol for the syntheses of diverse kinds of substituted benzopyrans from the corresponding variety of substituted hydroxy acetophenones and keto compounds using benzyltrimethylammonium hydroxide (Triton-B) under solvent-free conditions has been developed. This protocol is mild and efficient than the other reported methods.
