In this paper we describe the MophMed study, a joint effort between technologists and doctors to explore the effects of facial image modification on childrens body image and on parental support for childrens healthy dietary and physical activity behaviors.

Proposing daily visual feedback as an aide to reach personal goals

Personal goals are difficult to achieve and healthy habits are not as simple to maintain as people would like to. Often, humans look for help to change unwanted behavior. Technology could help us to overcome the daily struggle faced during the search for behavior improvement. The Persuasive Mirror is an example of how computerize persuasion, in the form of visual feedback, could give the needed support.

Digital Reflection: Simulating the Mirroring Effect

This article presents an image-processing framework that permits replicating mirror reflection digitally in a natural way. We have adapted a known stereo blending technique to permit flexible multiple point-of-view replication for a mirror-like application. We combine eye tracking and improved stereo-blending algorithms in order to achieve a natural mirroring effect. The paper focuses on the improvements made on the stereo processing.
