Counterexamples to strichartz estimates for the magnetic Schrödinger equation

In space dimension n ≥ 3, we consider the magnetic Schrodinger Hamiltonian H = -(∇ - iA(x))2 and the corresponding Schrodinger equation \[ i\partial_tu + Hu=0. \] We show some explicit examples of potentials A, with less than Coulomb decay, for which any solution of this equation cannot satisfy Strichartz estimates, in the whole range of Schrodinger admissibility.

Synthesis and characterization of cyanate-copper(II) complexes with 2,2′: 6′,2″-terpyridine. Crystal structure of the dimeric compound [Cu(terpy)(NCO)2]2·2H2O

Abstract The cyanate-copper(II) complexes [Cu(terpy)(NCO)2]·nH2O (n = 0, 1) have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic techniques and analytical data. The crystal structure of the hydrated complex has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The compound crystallizes in the space group P1 with a = 8.684(3), b = 9.485(6), c = 10.774(7) A, α = 83.58(5), β = 87.21(4), γ = 68.44(3)°, U = 851(2) A3; Z = 2, Dm = 1.63(4), Dx = 1.62 g cm−3, μ(Mo-Kα) = 14.3 cm−1, F(000) = 402, T = 293 K. The structure was refined to R = 0.055 (Rw = 0.055). The centrosymmetric dimeric structure consists of two [Cu(terpy)(NCO)2]·H2O units, which are linked through hydrogen bonds between the cyanate groups and the water molecules. The coordination sphere of the copper(II) ion is approximately regular square pyramid. The half-field absorption in the ΔMs = 2 region of the powdered X-band ESR spectra has been observed for the dimeric compound.
