High frequency light self-modulation in simple interference scheme

Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Andrey V. Kanaev; Alexandr N. Andreev

The coherent light self-modulation process was studied by modeling the simplest interference scheme containing beam splitting, delaying and amplifying. Principal possibilities of cw laser light passive modulation with GHz-THz frequencies and amplified pulses formation are shown. Some scheme parameters and input light features influence the processes are mentioned above illustrated and discussed.

Research of output signal spectrum of active running-wave interferometer

Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Alexandr N. Andreev; O. N. Andreeva; Andrey V. Kanaev

By mathematical modeling methods the dependence of running-wave interferometer (RWI) output spectrum from the excitation conditions and the interferometer parameters were studied in detail. Also a comparison of half-wave length RWI simulation results with the theoretical calculations was performed.

Error definition for nanoparticles size in liquid measured by correlation spectroscopy method

Alexandr N. Andreev; Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Andrey V. Kanaev

Errors for nanoparticles size measurement in mono-disperse liquid media are determined by mathematical modeling. To reduce the errors of radii measurements in the range of 1 – 6 nm one-bit quantization method use is proposed.

Inexpensive correlation gauge for nanoparticles dimensions in liquid and it’s accuracy of measurement

Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Alexandr N. Andreev; Andrey V. Kanaev

Inexpensive device for particles (that commit Brownian movement in liquid) dimensions measurement by analysis of scattered light autocorrelation function was designed, made and tested. The device comprises obtainable elements, analogue-to-digital conversion is performed be common sound blaster PC card, numerical data processing was made by specially developed software. Testing results for different objects are presented and discussed.

High frequency light self-modulation and pulse transformations in running wave interferometers

Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Alexandr N. Andreev; Andrey V. Kanaev

Coherent light self-modulation process was studied by modeling the running wave interferometers scheme containing beam splitting, delaying and amplifying. Principal possibilities of cw laser light modulation with GHz - THz frequencies and amplified pulses formation by cw pumping are shown. Some scheme parameters and input light features influences on said processes are illustrated and discussed. Pulse transformation in running wave interferometers (with and without amplification) was also studied by computer modeling. Pulse compression along with pulse form changes and specific pulsing generation with cw pump were found.

Input Signal Profile Influence on Output Spectra of Running Wave Amplifying Interferometer for Terahertz Spectroscopy

Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Alexandr N. Andreev; Andrey V. Kanaev

The influence of the input signal temporal profile on output spectra of running wave amplifying interferometer (RWAI) is studied by mathematical modeling with the aim to make use of RWAI in terahertz spectroscopy. Two ways are considered: two frequency signal obtaining for further difference frequency signal extracting and reception of the required frequency as the spectrum component of sinusoidal signal modulated by terahertz frequency

Signal modulation for correlation spectroscopy of polydisperse systems

Alexandr N. Andreev; Anatoliy G. Lazarenko; Andrey V. Kanaev

In correlation spectroscopy or dynamic (DLS) of polydisperse systems too much depends on a-priori information about the system properties. By changing the probe signal frequency it is possible to control the contribution of different scattering components to measured correlation function. An algorithm of measurements and mathematical data treatment is modeled and discussed.
