: A case of a 29-year-old male with a huge sacrococcygeal teratoma completely removed by surgery, and associated with a sacral agenesis is reported. Roentgenograms revealed fusion of the T12, L1, L2, and L3 vertebral bodies, absence of the left 12th rib, partial agenesis of sacrococcygeal elements and a lumbar scoliosis convex to the left. Cystometry and myelograms were normal. No such association has been found in the literature reviewed. Some topics on the embryology of these lesions are discussed.A case of a 29-year-old male with a huge sacrococcygeal teratoma completely removed by surgery, and associated with a sacral agenesis is reported. A case of a 44-year-old woman presenting pulmonary edema secondary to posterior fossa meningioma is reported. The authors have tried to demonstrate the relationship between a lesion occupying space in the posterior fossa and important pulmonary abnormality such as interstitial edema based on increasing A-aDO2 (oxygen alveolar arterial gradient) in this peculiar case. A-aDO2 is easily measured and represents a good guide for evaluating the efficiency of medical and neurosurgical management when it is done in the serial way, particularly in those cases of non cardiogenic pulmonary edema.A case of a 44-year-old woman presenting pulmonary edema secondary to posterior fossa meningioma is reported. The case of a 52 years-old man, with typical findings of lumbar disc disease is reported. The radiological investigation was negative and albuminocytologic dissociation in cerebrospinal fluid was detected. The clinical course was similar to Guillain-Barré syndrome which was completely solved by treatment with steroids.

A case of staphylococcal subdural abscess at cauda equina level region in a 42 year old male patient is reported. The neurological signs presented in this condition are discussed briefly and it is pointed out the importance of laminectomy associated to antibiotic treatment to achieve good outcome.: A case of staphylococcal subdural abscess at cauda equina level region in a 42 year old male patient is reported. Seven cases of fibromuscular dysplasia, six of them of the carotid artery and one of the vertebral artery studied by angiography are reported. The clinical histories have been of ischemic cerebro-vascular accident in five patients and of subarachnoidal hemorrhage dependent on ruptured aneurism in the others. Two patients underwent surgery: a primitive carotid ligation in one and, in the other, an endarterectomy for ressection of an atheroma plaque of the contralateral carotid artery. The symptomatology, diagnosis and treatment are discussed, emphasizing the importance of the vertebral and carotid angiographic study in the cases in which there is a diagnosis of fibromuscular dysplasia in any other vascular territory.

A case of tumor of the glomus jugulare in a 57 years old patient in which the symptoms lasted four years is reported. The neuroradiological examination showed erosion of the petrous part of the right temporal bone, displacement of the right pontocerebellar cistern and dilatation of the ambiens cistern in the same side. The patient was submitted to otological surgery the tumor being partially removed.
