This paper aims to link the ecclesiastical career with the domestic secular of the clergy which has as its backbone the course of life. Servant status can be considered an initial stage from which to reach the ecclesiastical degrees. However, it was not always possible to establish a sequencer because often the condition of servant, student and clergyman were applied to the same person. In any case, to enter as servants in the homes of those clergymen who had resources and possibilities of economic capital and also relational was an option for many individuals who longed to finish his ecclesiastical career.
