Performance of active power filter in transient under non-linear loading

The paper analyses and examines the efficiency of operation of a newly developed active power filter (APF), based on a control algorithm using CPC theory when employed in transient under non-linear load conditions. The APF system is therefore, characterized and the selected results of its performance under laboratory testing are presented and discussed. Requiremts, structure and labolatory testing of an explosion-proof MV switchgear structure

The article discusses the basic requirements for the distribution bay of a MV switchgear of an explosion-proof structure for application in explosive atmospheres. It shows a typical construction of such the switchgear bay and presents the extent of the required tests with examples of selected investigated results.

Impact of Non-Linear Small Power Receivers on Low Voltage Network Operation Conditions

The paper discusses the causes of distorted waveforms of currents and voltages in industrial electric power systems of low voltage. The ascending contribution of domestic and municipal customers, particularly office and as commercial as well as service and shopping centers where, non-linear loads and load phase unbalance are common, is indicated. Studies of voltage and current waveforms and their harmonics spectra at selected this type of facilities were carried out. The ability to compensate for the negative impact of low power consumer receivers using the active power filter has been demonstrated.
