Usage areas of mobile phones have increased in the last 10 years. Although there have been improvements in many areas, most of the developments are in the field of positioning systems. Although the peoples lives continue in indoor environments, location-based information system receives data from the satellites, which can detect a persons location in outdoor areas. In indoor areas, satellite signals can cause false information or can be interrupted by the objects in the area. In this study, an indoor navigation system has been designed and developed that only uses the accelerometer, the camera and the compass components on the phone and does not require satellite signals for positioning. To provide independence from the map in this application, augmented reality is applied during the routing process by utilizing built-in camera of the phone and no map is used.

ABSTRACT The increasing amount of data in social networks has complicated data processing and interpretation. Therefore, intelligent decision-support mechanisms that have the ability to automatically extract meaning from data and interpret the opinions of people in real time have become inevitable. In this study, an intelligent multilingual decision support system was implemented, and a new algorithm that employs text mining and sentiment analysis techniques was developed to automatically interpret the opinions of social network users about the places they plan to visit. The system can be used as a baseline for sentiment analysis in social networks and can be adapted to build new systems. In this study, we set our main focus on Turkish language and show the applicability of our approach for other languages through the experiments for English language. The dataset required for the implementation of text mining techniques was created based on the venue recommendations shared on Foursquare social media platform. As a result, a contribution was made to the way the social network users make decisions without reading thousands of recommendations. Our results show that the developed system achieves classification accuracy of 84.49% for Turkish and 95% for English. Finally, the most liked or disliked foods/beverages are correctly identified for 107 out of 128 venues.

Ulkemizde ve dunyadaki egitim sistemlerinde gerek ogrencilerin basarilarinin degerlendirilmesinde gerekse ogrenci seciminde coktan secmeli siklar iceren optik formlar cok sik kullanilmaktadir. Optik formlar optik okuyucu cihazlar sayesinde optik isaret tanima teknikleri kullanilarak degerlendirilmektedir. Bu tip cihazlarin pahali olmasi, bu cihazlara erisimin sinirli olmasi ve degerlendirme sonuclarini bekleme suresinin uzun olmasi hem buyuk sehirlerde hem de tasrada calisan egitimcilere zorluk cikarmaktadir. Bu calismada egitimcilerin sahip olduklari akilli telefon ya da tabletleri araciligi ile bir mekâna ya da optik cihaza bagli kalmadan, hizli bir sekilde ogrenci cevap formlarini degerlendirebilecekleri mobil bir yazilim gelistirilmistir. Optik form tanima, okuma ve degerlendirme islemi egitimcinin mobil telefonu ya da tableti araciligi ile cektigi ogrencinin cevap formu goruntusu uzerinde yapilmaktadir. Gelistirdigimiz Android tabanli mobil uygulama kullanici dostu bir arayuze sahip olup basari orani yuksektir ve bu alanda mobil ortamlarda calisan ilk uygulama olma ozelligini tasimaktadir.

The rapid evolution in communication technology facilitates the Internet access, and makes it faster and cheaper. The advancement of Internet accessibility changes the paradigm of application usage methodologies. As a result, data amount in application database reaches unprecedented sizes. The increase in the data amount and user load concretizes the scalability requirements for software components, especially for database technologies. This work aims to provide an example solution experienced in centralized enterprise application. We examine how NoSQL based document store can be adapted according to the requirements of telecommunication enterprise.
