ABSTRACT Two new species belonging to the genus Rhinoppia of the family Oppiidae were described and illustrated based on adult specimens collected from Artvin province, Turkey. One of these species, Rhinoppia artvinensis n. sp., was found in litter and soil under plum trees (Prunus domestica), and the second species, Rhinoppia tasdemiri n. sp., was found in moss pads on the ground in a mixed forest (mostly Pinus sylvestris) and in the same place as for the previous new species.

Two new species of the genus Quadroppia Jacot, 1939, Quadroppia (Coronoquadroppia) squarrosa sp. n. and Quadroppia (Quadroppia) foveolata sp. n. are described and illustrated from Turkey. They were collected from soil and litter under pear trees (Pyrus communis) and moss on rock, respectively.

Two new species of the genus Epimerella, E. luxtoni sp. nov. and E. subiasi sp. nov. collected from Yozgat Pine Grove National Park in Turkey are described. A key to the species of Epimerella is provided.

Two new records of oribatid mites (Acari) from Turkey: Cepheus caucasicus Sitnikova, 1975 and Lopheremaeus laminipes (Berlese, 1916) In this study, on the basis of the specimens collected from Yozgat and Sakarya provinces Cepheus caucasicus Sitnikova, 1975 and Lopheremaeus laminipes (Berlese, 1916) were recorded for the first time from Turkey. Their morphological features were given with the scanning electron microscope images.

In the during of the examination of soil and litter samples collected from Andirin town of Kahramanmaras province in 2011, Eremobelba geographica Berlese, 1908 belonging to the family Eremobelbidae Balogh, 1961 is recorded as new for the Turkish fauna and its characteristics are given with the scanning electron microscope images.

Two species of brachypyline oribatid mites are reported from soil and litter in Kahramanmaraş province, Turkey. These are Epimerella marasensis sp. nov., new to science, and Zetorchestes grandjeani Krisper, 1987, the first Turkish record. An identification key for the known species of Epimerella is provided.

On the basis of the samples collected from Artvin province between the years 1992-1994, the morphological features of two oribatid mites new to the Turkish fauna, namely Cepheus dentatus (Michael, 1888) and Caleremaeus monilipes (Michael, 1882) are given. Their distribution and ecological characteristics are also presented.

ABSTRACT: On the basis of specimens found in the moss and pine litter in Erzurum and Artvin (Turkey), descriptions and illustrations of Quadroppia (Coronoquadroppia) nasalis Gordeeva, 1983 and Quadroppia (Quadroppia) maritalis Lions, 1982, the first Turkish records of the genus Quadroppia Jacot, 1939, and Quadroppia (Coronoquadroppia) michaeli turcica n. ssp., new to science are given. Zoogeographical data concerning the genus is also presented.
