Abstract A new Schiff base ligand, 3‐methoxysalicyliden‐p‐aminoacetophenoneoxime (LH), was synthesized starting from p‐aminoacetophenoneoxime and 3‐methoxysalicylaldehyde. Complexes of this ligand with Co+2, Ni+2, Cu+2, and Zn+2 salts were prepared. With this ligand, complexes were synthesized using Co+2, Ni+2, Cu+2, and Zn+2 salts with a metal:ligand ratio of 1:2. Structures of the ligand and its complexes were proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, 1H‐ and 13C‐NMR, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity, and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA).

Metal phthalocyanines containing an unsymmetrically substituted nitro group were synthesized from 4-nitrophthalonitrile and the corresponding anhydrous metal salts (Co(OAc)2, Zn(OAc)2) by the method of statistically mixed condensation reactions. The new type of metallo-bisphthalocyanine compounds connected by a N=N bridge was prepared from the reactions of respective nitro compounds with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and activated zinc powder in a mixture of methanol (MeOH) and tetrahydrofuran (THF). The structures of these compounds were characterized by using 1H NMR, IR, elemental analyses, UV-vis and magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopies.

New ball-type metallobisphthalocyanines 2 (Co2Pc2) and 3(Zn2Pc2) were synthesized from the corresponding 4,4′-[(5,6-diaminopyrimidine-2,4-diyl)bis(oxy)] diphytalonitril 1, which can be obtained by a nucleophilic displacement reaction of 4-nitrophthalonitrile with 5,6-diaminouracil sulfate. Characterization of novel compounds was performed by UV-vis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Organic field effect transistor devices (OFETs) with top gate structure were fabricated using these novel compounds as the active material. The devices were characterized by means of their output and transfer characteristics, and it was found that these OFET devices exhibit p-type behavior. When compared with the 2-based device, the OFET with 3 showed higher field effect mobility and larger on/of current ratio.

Yeni disubstitue ftalonitril turevi 1 aromatik halkadaki klorlarin nukleofilik yer degistirme metoduyla K2CO3 baz varliginda, kuru DMF cozucusunde 4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-il) fenol ve 4,5-dikloro-1,2-disiyano-benzenin reaksiyonuyla hazirlandi. Uygun metal tuzlari ile 1 bilesiginin template reaksiyonu yeni mono nukleer metalloftalosiyaninleri CoPc 2, ZnPc 3 and CuPc 4 verdi. Yeni bilesikler FT-IR, 1H-NMR ve UV/VIS spektroskopik verilerle karakterize edildi.
