Physical measurements on gutta-percha

Abstract Various physical measurements have been made on gutta-percha, including changes in hardness with temperature, linear expansion with increasing temperature, expansion from soaking in water, and tip-thrust values of endodontic gutta-percha points at various temperatures. Gutta-percha was found to expand slightly with increased temperature, a desirable trait for an endodontic filling material. Although guttapercha points have superior thrust resistance at low temperature, this quality is rapidly lost at room temperature.

Utilization of general anesthesia and hospital facilities in surgical endodontics

Abstract We have presented a method for pediatric endodontic surgical procedures which eliminates the problem of patient management. This procedure, which utilizes hospital facilities and general anesthesia, is easily adaptable to the adult patient.
