Using data from the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we measure [ital scrB]([tau][sup [minus]][r arrow][ital h][sup [minus]][pi][sup 0][nu][sub [tau]]) where [ital h][sup [minus]] refers to either [pi][sup [minus]] or [ital K][sup [minus]]. We use three different methods to measure this branching fraction. The combined result is [ital scrB]([tau][sup [minus]][r arrow][ital h][sup [minus]][pi][sup 0][nu][sub [tau]])=0.2587[plus minus]0.0012[plus minus]0.0042, in good agreement with standard model predictions.Using data from the CLEO II detector at CESR, we measure
