Abstract Cross sections and polarizations have been measured for elastic scattering of 150 MeV protons on C, Ca and Bi and of 75 MeV protons on C, Ca, Ce and Bi. An optical model analysis was made which gives general agreement with parameters extrapolated from lower energy fits. However, at 150 MeV, different radii are needed for the real and imaginary parts of the central potential to fit the polarization curves; negative imaginary spin orbit depth is necessary.

Abstract The 2s-1d shell nuclei 24 Mg, 28 Si, 32 S and 40 Ca have been studied by elastic and inelastic scattering of 155 MeV protons. Cross sections and polarizations have been measured. An optical-model analysis was performed on the elastic scattering results. The inelastic scattering was interpreted with the DWIA method, the results of these calculations are in general agreement with experiment, but they need some improvement to be quite correct. Cross sections of the (d, p) reactions with 155 MeV protons and (d, p), (d, t) and (d, 3 He) reactions with 82 MeV deuterons have been measured on 27 Al and 28 Si targets; the results are discussed on the basis of Ripkas model.

Abstract Quasi-elastic proton-proton scattering cross sections on deuterium were measured for a large range of kinematical conditions. A comparison is made between experimental differential cross sections and theoretical values which take into account all possible double scattering effects. Such corrections to the first order impulse approximation agree with the shape of the curves but are generally too large.

Resume The 1p shell nuclei 6 Li, 7 Li, 11 B and 14 N have been studied by elastic and inelastic scattering of 155 MeV protons. Cross sections and polarizations have been measured. An optical-model analysis is performed on the elastic scattering results. The inelastic scattering results are compared with theoretical calculations obtained on the basis of the plane wave impulse approximation with shell and rotational models.

Abstract The excitation of the 15.1 MeV level of C12 (Jπ = 1+, T = 1) by 150 MeV protons has been studied. The angular distribution of the scattered protons in coincidence with the de-excitation γ rays emitted in the recoil direction of the nucleus has been determined. The angular correlation between inelastically scattered protons and γ rays has been measured at a scattering angle of 8°.
