PLASMA LIPIDS IN SOME CARDIOVASCULAR DISORDERS.

Bandyopadhyay A; Banerjee S

1. The different fractions of plasma lipids, for example, total cholesterol, beta-lipoprotein cholesterol, phospholipids, triglycerides, non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA) and lipoprotein percentage, were estimated in patients suffering from coronary heart disease, essential hypertension, cor pulmonale and chronic congestive cardiac failure and in some normal subjects of the same age groups and of similar economic and social status as the patients.2. Plasma total cholesterol, beta-lipoprotein cholesterol and phospholipids did not differ in the patients suffering from coronary heart disease when compared with the normal controls. Plasma triglycerides, NEFA and beta-lipoprotein percentage were increased in these patients.3. No change in the plasma lipids from normal was observed in patients suffering from essential hypertension. All the fractions of plasma lipids except NEFA and lipoprotein values were found diminished in patients suffering from cor pulmonale and chronic congestive heart failure.Lipidos del Plasma in Certe Disordines Cardiovascular1.
