ORTOGNATİK CERRAHİDE KOMBİNE LE FORT I VE VERTİKAL RAMUS OSTEOTOMİSİ*-COMBINED LE FORT I AND VERTICAL RAMUS OSTEOTOMY IN ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY

Ozet Bimaksuler osteotomi, hem hasta hem de cerrah acisindan buyuk ve zaman alan bir cerrahi girisim olmasina ragmen son on yilda ozellikle teknik imkanlarin ve enstrumantasyonun yetkinliginin artmasi gibi nedenlerle giderek daha cok uygulanmaktadir. Klinigimizde 1988-1994 yillari arasinda yaslan 18 ile 26 arasinda degisen dort erkek ve iki kadin toplam alti dento-fasiyal deformiteli hastada kombine bimaksuler cerrahi girisim uygulanmistir. Cerrahi prosedur tek seansli Le Fort I maksiller osteotomi ve agiz disindan vertikal mandibular ramus osteotomisini icermistir. Bimaksuler osteotomi uyguladigimiz vakalarimizda yeterli fonksiyonel ve kozmetik sonuclann alindigi bir ile alti yillik takiplerimizde gozlemlenmistir. Abstract Bimaxillary osteotomies, which are considered a major and a time consuming procedure, are being performed more frequently in the last decade because of the advances in the surgical techniques and the instrumentation. Bimaxillary surgical procedures involving simultaneous Le Fort I maxillary osteotomy and extraoral vertical ramus osteotomy have been performed on six patients with dento-facial deformities ages ranging from 18 to 26 (four males, two females) between the years 1988 and 1994. The functional and aesthetic results in these patients who had undergone bimaxillary osteotomies have been found satisfactory in the follow up period of one to six vears.

Total scrotal reconstruction with vertical rectus abdominis musculocutaneous (VRAM) flap in the treatment of penoscrotal lymphedema

SummaryA 37-year-old man with scrotal and penile lymphedema was treated by total excision of the scrotal and penile skin and subcutaneous tissue. Split thickness skin grafts were used to cover the penis and the pubic area. An inferiorly based left rectus abdominis muscle with a 12 x 16 cm skin island from the epigastric region was used to reconstruct the scrotum. The VRAM flap is a simple, reliable flap and it provides sufficient coverage of the exposed testicles after total excision of diseased scrotal skin. It also gives a satisfactory esthetic result. The VRAM flap may be another source for reconstruction of the total scrotum.

Mandibulada Keratokist - Bir Olgu Takdimi -Mandibular keratocyst : (A case report)

OZET Nadir gorulmesi, multilokuler kistik bir yapida olmasi, residiv oraninin yuksek olmasi nedeniyle, mandibulada keratokist saptanan bir olgu takdim edilmistir. SUMMARY A case diagnosed as a mandibular keratocyst is reported because of its rare occurence, its multilocular cystic structure and the high incidence of recurrences.

Odontogenic Carcinosarcoma Of The Mandible: A Case Report

SUMMARY Odontogenic carcinosarcoma is an undescribed tumour of the jaws. A case involving the mandible of a 30-year-old woman is presented, and details of the lesion is discussed.
