Performance analysis of an integrated voice/data CDMA system with dynamic admission/access control

Third generation mobile communication system offers an integrated voice and high rate data services through dedicated traffic channels. To accommodate an integrated voice and data service efficiently, the admission and access control scheme must be researched. We have proposed an admission/access control scheme and an analytical queueing model for an integrated service. The performance of our proposed scheme is evaluated in terms of voice call blocking probability, outage probability of voice traffic, data transmission request blocking probability, and mean data delay.

An integrated scheduling algorithm in a wireless packet network with dynamic TDD

To support multimedia traffic and maximize the channel utilization, a wireless packet system statistically multiplexes users with different rates and QoS requirements. Due to asymmetric multimedia traffic characteristics between uplink and downlink channels, a dynamic time division duplex technology is proposed for a wireless packet system. In this paper, we present a demand-assignment multiple access protocol and our proposed scheduling algorithm for a wireless packet network. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm through the simulation results obtained by BONeS Designer. The results show that the proposed system increases the channel utilization.
