custom integrated circuits conference | 2002
Monte Mar; Bert Sullam; Eric Blom
An architecture for one of the first mixed-signal field-programmable system-on-a-chip (FPSOC) is presented. The FPSOC integrates a 24-MHz 8-bit microcontroller, flash memory, SRAM, programmable analog and digital blocks, and on-chip clock generation. Programmable interconnect has been designed to allow analog and digital blocks to be combined to form a wide variety of functional modules.
international symposium on circuits and systems | 2003

The use of behavioral modeling in Verilog-AMS is applied to the design of a programmable mixed signal device. In order to illustrate the possible increases in simulation efficiency, various simulation and modeling techniques arc compared for a mixed-signal application. A speedup of two orders of magnitude can be achieved in full system simulation with low loss of accuracy. A full system model using these techniques facilitates system development, testing, and application development.
