Summary The use of the chisel and mallet for the extraction of normally placed, as well as impacted and otherwise malposed teeth is safe and successful even in the hands of the less experienced operator. With their use, the sockets and the processes in general are left in a condition that will not be criticized from the standpoint of surgery. The operator using the chisel and mallet technic not only can remove all roots but also attached granulomas and other pathologic conditions.
