New Sesquiterpene and Brominated Metabolites from the Tropical Marine Sponge Dysidea sp.

2D NMR spectroscopic data are reported for 6-hydroxyfurodysinin-O-methyl lactone (3), 2-(2′,4′-dibromophenoxy)-4,6-dibromoanisole (4), and dehydroherbadysidolide (8), all isolated for the first time from Dysidea sp. Revised NMR assignments are presented for the compounds dysetherin (1) and furodysinin-O-methyl lactone (2), previously reported from Dysidea herbacea. The full relative stereochemistry of spirodysin (12) is defined for the first time.

New Isocyano and Isothiocyanato Terpene Metabolites from the Tropical Marine Sponge Acanthella cavernosa

Spectroscopic data are reported for 10-isothiocyanato-4-cadinene (4), for 8-hydroxy-isokalihinol F (8) and for two isocyanobifloradiene epoxides, (9) and (10), isolated from Great Barrier Reef specimens of Acanthella cavernosa

New chlorinated peptides from the tropical marine sponge Dysidea sp.

Five new chlorinated peptides (5)-(9) have been isolated from a Dysidea sp. and identified by two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. The absolute stereochemistry of the metabolites was deduced by chemical correlation with S-(-)-4,4,4-trichloro-3-methylbutanoic acid (10) and with an alcohol (11)
