The aim of this study was to determine the changes in physical properties of Paulownia (Paulownia elongata) wood, a fast-growing species, during heat treatment at three different temperatures (160, 180, and 200°C) and durations (3, 5, and 7 h). After heat treatment, changes in swelling, density, color, and equilibrium moisture content at 35, 65, and 85% RH were investigated. The results indicated that the minimum and maximum decrease swelling ratios were 6–46% for tangential, 4–32% for radial, and 12–64% for longitudinal. The equilibrium moisture contents were 1–26% for 35% RH, 1–33% for 65% RH, and 1–38% for 85 RH, respectively; the density of air-dried and oven-dried samples decreased by 1–16% and 1.5–15%, respectively, and color changes values (L*) were 10–40%.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of cellulose nanofibrils and nanoclays on the mechanical, thermal, and morphological properties of polyhydroxybutyrate and polylactic acid bio-polymers. Polyhydroxybutyrate and polylactic acid as a polymer matrix and nanoclays and cellulose nanofibrils as reinforcing nano-fillers were used to prepare the biopolymer nanocomposites in twin screw extruder. Density, flexure strength and flexure modulus, tensile strength and tensile modulus, impact strength, thermal properties, and morphological characterization of the obtained biopolymer nanocomposites were determined. According to the obtained results, densities of the biopolymer nanocomposites were found to decrease with addition of the bio-fillers, and it was determined to be decreasing the density due to increasing the porosity in biopolymer nanocomposites. Although the increasing in the porosity of biopolymer nanocomposites was found in scanning electron microscope pictures, the mechanical properties of the biopolymer nanocomposites generally increased as compare with neat bio-polymers. Thermal analysis conducted with thermogravimetric-dynamic thermal analysis and differential scanning calorimeter showed that thermal stability of the biopolymer nanocomposites generally improved according to the neat bio-polymers.

Is sagligi ve guvenligi kanunu ilk olarak 30 Haziran 2012’de Resmi Gazete’de yayimlanarak yururluge girmistir. 1 Ocak 2014 tarihinden itibaren, sadece buyuk isyerleri degil, ‘riskli’ sinifta yer alan kucuk esnafin da is guvenligi uzmani, hekim ve yardimci saglik personeli calistirmak zorunda oldugu “Is Sagligi ve Guvenligi Kanunu” kapsaminda calisma hayatinda yer edinmistir. Kanun, calisanlarin daha saglikli bir ortamda calismalarini saglamak, iscilerin beden ve ruh sagliklarini korumak, is kazalarina ugramalarini onlemek amaciyla riskleri belirlemek ve belirlenen riskleri ortadan kaldirmak amaci ile mevzuatta belirtilen is sagligi ve guvenligi onlemlerine uyulmanin gerekliligi uzerine insa edilmistir. Bu calismanin amaci, Bartin ilinde arastirma alani olarak secilmis “mobilya sektorunde” faaliyet gosteren bazi mikro, kucuk ve orta olcekli mobilya isletmelerinde bu kanunun yansimalarini arastirmaktir. Calisma kapsaminda, rastgele ornekleme yontemi ile secilmis olan bu isletmelerde, mevcut durumdaki uygulamalar ve olasi tehlikeler yerinde gozlem yoluyla ve fotograflarla belgelenerek ortaya konulmustur.

Girisimcilik, issizlik probleminin azalmasina, istihdamin artmasina, gelir artisina olanak saglayip ulkenin ekonomik refah seviyesini yukseltecek bir eylemdir. Toplumlari olusturan bireylerin girisimcilik egilimlerinin, bu egilimleri etkileyen faktorlerin tespit edilmesi, toplumlarin girisimcilik potansiyelleri acisindan bizlere bilgi verebilir ve sonraki calismalarda arastirmacilara yol gosterebilir. Bu calismanin amaci, Bartin Universitesi Orman Endustri Muhendisligi Bolumu mezunlarinin girisimcilik ozelliklerini belirleyip mevcut girisimcilik tablolarini ortaya koymak, girisimcilik konusunda tespit edilecek eksikliklere cozum onerileri sunarak, ileride yapilacak olan arastirmalara ve arastirmacilara fikir vermesidir. Bu amacla, 84 mezuna cevrimici anket teknigi ile bir anket calismasi uygulanmistir. Anketlerden elde edilen veriler SPSS ortaminda istatistiksel yontemlerle degerlendirilmistir. Calisma sonucunda, Bartin Universitesi Orman Fakultesi Orman Endustri Muhendisligi Bolumu mezunlarinin %9,5’inin mezun olduktan sonra bir girisimcilik yaptigi, %90,5’inin ise mezun olduktan sonra bir girisimcilik yapmadigi belirlenmistir. Mezunlarin girisimcilige yonelik tutumlari incelenip girisimcilik yapmama konusundaki sorunlari belirtilip cozum onerileri gelistirilmistir.
