Within the framework of a multiphase transport model, harmonic flows v(n) (n = 2, 3, and 4) are investigated for Au-Au collisions at v root(s)NN = 200 GeV and Pb-Pb collisions at root(s)NN = 2.76 TeV. The event-by-event geometry fluctuations significantly contribute to harmonic flows. Triangular flow (v(3)) originates from initial triangularity (epsilon(3)) and is developed by partonic interactions. The conversion efficiency (v(n)/epsilon(n)) decreases with the harmonic order and increases with the partonic interaction cross section. A mass ordering in the low-pT region and a constituent quark number scaling in the middle-pT region seem to work roughly for nth harmonic flows at both energies. All features of harmonic flows show similar qualitative behaviors at BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and CERN Large Hadron Collider energies, which implies that the formed partonic matters are similar at the two energies.

Radioactive ion beams were produced through the projectile fragmentation induced by 69MeV/nucleon 36Ar primary beam on a 9Be target. Measurements of reaction cross section (σR) for some proton-rich nuclei on carbon target at intermediate energies around 30MeV/nucleon have been performed on RIBLL of HIRFL by transmission method and transmission plus transportation method. The experimental σR values for 23Al and 27P are abnormally large compared with their neighboring nuclei and that of 17F has an enhancement compared with the neighboring isotopes. It suggests anomalously large matter root-mean-square radii and proton halo structure in 23Al and 27P. The experimental σR values and momentum distribution of fragmentation reaction product for 31Cl, 32Cl, 33Cl, 28S, 29S were performed also on RIBLL by transmission and transportation method. Dihadron azimuthal correlations in Au+Au collisions at root S-NN = 200 GeV are explored by using a multiphase transport model. To obtain the contributions from jet-medium interactions, the combined harmonic flow background is subtracted from the raw dihadron correlation functions. The signals are compared in three associated transverse momentum (p(T)(assoc)) bins: 0.2-0.8, 0.8-1.4, and 1.4-2.0 GeV/c from central to semiperipheral geometries. The medium modifications are observed from changes in the signal shape and the relative jet contribution is obtained within the change in the centrality from the peripheral to the central one. A strong p(T)(assoc) dependence of the rms width of the jet-correlation function is observed within the central geometry bin, i.e., 0-10%. DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevC.87.024904
