The combination of Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) with Poly-Si TFT has great potential to realize an ideal type of the flat panel display. High-resolution monochrome LEP display driven by p-Si TFT with integrated driver has been already developed. That demonstrated its high potential. The current status of the technologies will be introduced, with some comment for further developmental work.

New device performance data are reported for red, green, blue and white polymer light emitting diodes (PLED). The devices all show CIE color co-ordinates approaching the PAL standards. In this report we also discuss the efficiency and lifetime data for these test devices and show that these systems could be used as components in full/multi color high information content (HIC) displays.
