espanolEl ecosistema mediatico es una metodologia de investigacion propuesta por Neil Postman y Marshall McLuhan en 1971, con su consolidacion a partir de conceptos solidos presentados en 1979. Sin embargo, presenta conceptos transversales a otros estudios sobre medios, muchos de ellos desarrollados por teoricos que actualizaran, o construyeron conceptos que sostienen una nueva ecologia de los medios. El articulo presenta una actualizacion de estas miradas a partir de una investigacion que tiene como metodologia el metodo bibliografico de profundidad. Se espera, con los resultados aqui presentados, la posibilidad de una conceptualizacion de una nueva ecologia de los medios. Como resultados de la investigacion, presentamos indicativos para la existencia de nuevas metaforas de la ecologia de los medios contemporanea. EnglishThe media ecosystem is a research methodology proposed by Neil Postman and Marshall McLuhan in 1971, with its consolidation based on solid concepts presented in 1979. However, it presents cross-cutting concepts to other media studies, many of them developed by theorists who will update, or built concepts that sustain a new media ecology. The article presents an update of these views from a research that has as a methodology the depth bibliographic method. We hope to offer, with the results presented here, the possibility of a conceptualization of a new media ecology. As results of the investigation, we present indicatives for the stock of new metaphors of the contemporary media ecology

The research is focused on the management of social networks in television news programs of Ecuador. The methodology is qualitative and quantitative profiles through analysis and surveys regarding the use of social networks news programs presenters and news directors of the Ecuavisa, Teleamazonas and Ecuador TV stations were surveyed; from the low impact of national television presenters social networks and news directors surveyed RTU and Telerama. Research was supplemented with semi-structured interviews news directors. Social networks are part of journalism communicators and news directors. Social networks and TV complement. The talks raised through digital platforms influence and in some cases determine the thematic agenda. In Ecuador there are still channels that do not have an account dedicated to news broadcasts, so they use the general account of the channel to transmit information.
