The world population pyramid has changed shape. However, this does not mean that societies have changed their negative concept of old age. Our study proposes an intergenerational service-learning program with 179 university students and 101 slightly depressed elderly people. The results show that the elderly people who interacted improved in well-being. Those interacting with the young people tended to lower their stereotyped perception of themselves, while the others tended to augment it. The young people tended to moderate their stereotypes of the elderly with or without interaction.

EnglishThere is a double drive at the center of the discussion on deductive reasoning. One seems to lead to abstraction and domain independency, while another leads to concretion a nd content dependency. The objective of this research is to design, apply and validate an evaluation instrument that allows us to corroborate whether deductive reasoning handles logical or content rules. The sample consisted of 80 participants aged among 1 8 and 77 years. The test consists of 60 items categorized in levels of formality, integrability, complexity and modality. The results demonstrate the reliability of the deductive reasoning test with a Cronbach alpha of .775 and a validation index of .850 t o the non - verbal intelligence index (INV) of RIAS. As a conclusion we infer that tested deductive reasoners lack a definite corpus of general deductive rules, and on the contrary they use collections of decreasingly abstract heuristic rules.
