OS DESAFIOS E AS BARREIRAS DAS BIBLIOTECAS UNIVERSITÁRIAS BRASILEIRAS E PORTUGUESAS NO PROCESSO DE INCLUSÃO E ACESSIBILIDADE

O presente artigo e resultado parcial de uma investigacao, que tem como objetivo principal conhecer as praticas inclusivas em bibliotecas universitarias brasileiras e portuguesas para utilizadores com necessidades especiais. Os resultados apresentados foram recolhidos atraves da aplicacao de um inquerito por questionario on-line aplicado a 87 (oitenta e sete) diretores/coordenadores de bibliotecas (54 - cinquenta e quatro - brasileiras e 33 - trinta e tres – portuguesas), tendo sido obtidas 50 (cinquenta) respostas validas, correspondendo a 28 (vinte e oito) brasileiras e 22 (vinte e duas) portuguesas. Os resultados permitiram identificar problemas de acessibilidade, nomeadamente no que diz respeito a infraestrutura da biblioteca. A rede social acadêmica researchgate como mecanismo de visibilidade e internacionalização da produção científica brasileira e portuguesa na área de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação

Este estudo analisa a problematica da comunicacao no seio das comunidades cientificas da area de Biblioteconomia e Ciencia da Informacao e como as redes sociais on-line se configuram como novos espacos de disponibilizacao da documentacao cientifica e interacao dos investigadores. O foco deste estudo e o contributo da presenca on-line dos investigadores das areas em analise para a promocao da visibilidade e internacionalizacao do trabalho academico desenvolvido. Realizou-se o levantamento da presenca dos referidos investigadores na Rede Social ResearchGate (http://www.ResearchGate.net), suas motivacoes e percecoes acerca da importância dessa presenca para a visibilidade e internacionalizacao do trabalho de pesquisa que realizam. A analise destes resultados permite gerar uma compreensao do papel desempenhado por estes novos espacos hibridos entre arquivo e espaco de interacao, na dinâmica de comunicacao da comunidade academica e cientifica da area da Biblioteconomia e Ciencia da Informacao.

Portuguese and Brazilian Inclusive University Libraries: Practices and challenges of the directors

In this paper we present preliminary results of an ongoing study whose purpose is to introduce inclusive practices developed by university libraries in Brazil and Portugal, considering the implementation and use of assistive technologies targeted to students with special needs. Data was collected using a survey by means of an online questionnaire administered to 87 directors/coordinators of libraries (54 Brazilian and 33 Portuguese), from which 41 valid responses were obtained, corresponding to 19 Brazilian and 22 Portuguese. The results made it possible to deepen the knowledge on some inclusive practices developed by these libraries, as well as lay the foundations for the future development of actions and strategies that promote universal access and participation of all students to the resources and services offered by university libraries.

The Arquivo Publico do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul has for mission to preserve the memory of the State with actions directed to the documentary management and the culture. For that is basic that the society is aware of it documentary sources custody quantities and the given services. In such a way after research on diffusion forms opted to the use of communication tools online of gratuitous use, with focus in blog and microblog. Thus a diffusion project was elaborated, which contemplates the methodology of creation and administration of the communication tools online. The use of these tools as strategy of diffusion of the APERS represents the insertion of the institution in a new space of communication, which makes possible the to stick by of the users and, also, it functions as an attractive one for new public.The purpose of this paper is to revisit the relationship between discourse, society and technology, taking as its motto the idea of “philosophy of the black box”, and expanding it to the current configuration of the called computer society. It seeks to reflect upon theoretical positions that have been postulating the spread of a virtual culture to the forms of life, and claiming the dilated contamination of a practice, normally accustomed to a particular device type, on the principle of life in its totality. In short, these are modes to narrativize the world and to narrativize oneself in the world in view of the technological potentialities. The focus is one of an aesthetic that derives from this context, based on two empirical manifestations of digital culture: the presentation of the news in prevalent forms in the virtual entertainment, specifically the so-called “newsgames”, by the argument of effectiveness of their results for the engagement of citizens and the database culture, as a paradigm laid as the explanatory/organizing principle of values, and a communication system moved by the wish for novelty and compulsive interaction.This article has as objective to approach the “indiciarismo” as methodology for the research of History of the Medias, understanding as part of a ampler field: History of the Communication. In this direction, we follow the characterization made for Ana Paula Goulart Ribeiro and Micael Herschmann (2008) on the field of studies of the Communication in terms of methodology and research. As example of application of the scientific method of studies about “indiciarismo” in this field, we analyze the workmanship Historia Cultural da Imprensa Brasil – 1800-1900 (2010), of authorship of the researcher Marialva Barbosa. The “indiciarismo” was created by the Italian historian Carlo Ginzburg on the basis of the work Mitos, emblemas e sinais (2009), in which it presents the paradigm of knowing of the “indiciarismo”, inspired by Sigmund Freud, Sherlock Holmes, the critic of Morelli art and many others.Esse artigo tem como objeto de pesquisa os documentarios do projeto Por Onde Passa a Memoria da Cidade da TV OVO, que retratam o passado de duas ruas de Santa Maria/RS. A partir dos filmes, tecemos um marco teorico sobre memoria e identidade e por meio do conceito de ?lugar de memoria? de Pierre Nora buscamos compreender como as referidas producoes nao-ficcionais se apropriam do passado da cidade, num movimento de ressignificacao. Ao reconhecermos que os documentarios integram um projeto de memoria para Santa Maria, sendo a TV OVO uma midia comunitaria, percebemos que eles enquadram a memoria de acordo com a historiografia oficial, trazendo testemunhos da elite, numa narrativa linear e expositiva, reproduzindo um discurso hegemonico sobre o passado da cidade.Memory and identity: a preleminary study about the uses and appropriations of the past in TV OVO documentariesABSTRACTThis article has as a research object the documentaries of TVOVO project Por Onde Passa a Memoria da Cidade which portray the past of two streets of Santa Maria/RS. From the films, we have created a theoretical framework about memory and identity, and through the concept of ?place of memory? of Pierre Nora, we seek to understand how these nonfiction productions appropriate the city?s past, in a movement of reframing. While acknowledging that the documentary integrates a project of memory for Santa Maria, and since TV OVO is a community media, we understand that they frame the memory according to the official historiography, bringing testimonies of the elite in a linear and expositive narrative, reproducing a hegemonic discourse about the city?s past.KEYWORDS: Memory. A partir de las peliculas, hemos creado un marco teorico sobre memoria y identidad, y por medio del concepto ??lugar de memoria?? de Pierre Nora, buscamos comprender como las aludidas producciones no ficcionales se apropian del pasado de la ciudad en el movimiento de resignificacion. TV OVO.From articles published in the newspapers O Globo and Extra, which have as character the soccer player Adriano, this paper is dedicated to mapping the relationship between journalistic discourses about the city, the perception of violence in these spaces for their inhabitants and the possibilities of emergence of other- routes in this scenario. It is a proposal for thinking about the role of media discourses about the many ways in which individuals construct their symbolic concerns about the city. To this end, the work uses, among others, the theoretical perspectives proposed by Jeudy (2005), Sarlo (2009) and Certeau (1990) - about the relationship between speech and spatiality - and takes as its background the confusing and controversial career of soccer player Adriano by clusters of exclusion (Haesbaert, 2004) of Rio de Janeiro.The following text is proposed to make a brief analysis of the work The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, from the american photographer Nan Goldin and Caixa de Sapatos, from the brazilian collective Cia de Foto. How do these artists use photography to appropriate the everyday and which aesthetic and political implications come from these appropriations? The research aims to contribute to recent discussions on the relationship between subjectivity and contemporary photography.This article brings to light the importance of the work of a professional category that has always been in shadow and is now endangered in the Internet era: the drivers that work for the press. It seeks to demonstrate their relevance in newsmaking, both in its most basic task behind the wheel as in the very process of investigation and in various other forms of collaboration. The article tries to afford an opportunity to enrich the history of journalism in Brazil and sets out, though briefly, the changes in news production, with the adoption of digital technology and the progressive reduction of street reportage.As ultimas decadas tem favorecido o crescimento do interesse e dos estudos sobre a etica jornalistica. No Brasil e em outras pracas, as abordagens deste tema tem sido na maioria das vezes por um carater deontologico ou utilitarista. Neste artigo, chamamos a atencao para uma perspectiva que privilegie as virtudes como pontos de partida para os debates acerca das condutas dos profissionais. Uma etica das virtudes remete a Aristoteles e aos estoicos, mas vem sendo retomada por autores mais contemporâneos, como Macintyre e Comte-Sponville, entre outros. No jornalismo, esta abordagem nao e definitiva ou totalizante, mas contribui para uma compreensao mais ampla da discussao, chamando inclusive a atencao para recomendacoes eticas uteis, praticas e atuais.For a virtuous approach of journalismABSTRACTThe last decades have favored the growth of interest and studies on journalism ethics. In Brazil and in other places, approaches over this subject have been most often by a deontological or utilitarian nature. In this article, we draw attention to a perspective that privileges the virtues as starting points for discussions about the conduct of journalists. A virtue ethics refers to Aristotle and the Stoics, but has been taken up by more contemporary authors such as Macintyre and Comte-Sponville, among others. In journalism, this approach is not definitive, but contributes to a broader understanding of the discussion, even drawing attention to useful, practical and current ethical guidelines.KEYWORDS:Virtues. En Brasil y en otros lugares, se acerca a este tema por una via deontologica o utilitaria. En este articulo llamamos la atencion a una perspectiva que privilegia las virtudes para las discusiones sobre la conducta de los periodistas. Una etica de la virtud se refiere a Aristoteles y los estoicos, pero hay otros autores mas contemporaneos, como Comte y Macintyre-Sponville. En el periodismo, este enfoque no es definitivo, sino que contribuye a una comprension mas amplia de la discusion, incluso llamando la atencion a las recomendaciones eticas practicas, utiles y actuales.PALABRAS CLAVE:Virtudes. Etica. Periodismo. Etica. Comunicacion.Comeco por sistematizar um conjunto de informacoes relativas ao panorama museologico portugues tendo como marco de partida 1974 e de chegada a actualidade. De forma necessariamente esquematica, procuro destacar as diferentes fases de consolidacao e desenvolvimento dos proprios museus e dos seus organismos tutelares e respectivo enquadramento legal. Os anos de 1990 apresentam-se como anos do boom dos museus, nomeadamente, dos museus locais e de tutela autarquica. A analise prossegue notando como certas dinâmicas inicialmente presentes ? como os ideias de mobilizacao e um sentido forte de comunidade ? desaparecem e os esforcos se orientam mais para a resolucao de problemas funcionais dos museus. Termino apelando a necessidade de reconceptualizacao da nocao de patrimonio com o auxilio da qual mais eficazmente o museu podera cumprir as suas funcoes sociais.Portuguese Museums from 1974 to present time: from the resolution of functional problems to the communityABSTRACTI begin by a systematic collection of information on the Portuguese museum scene using as a point of departure the year of 1974 and arriving at the present time. In a schematic way, I try to highlight the different stages of consolidation and development of museums, their leadership and legal framework. The 1990s are the boom years of museums, especially the local museums under municipal supervision. As the analysis continues, I take note how certain dynamics which were initially present - as the ideas of mobilization and a strong sense of community ? disappear and efforts are directed more to the resolution of functional problems of museums. I conclude by appealing to the need for reconceptualization of the notion of heritage that can help the museum to fulfil its social functions.KEYWORDS:Local museums. Portuguese Museum Network. De un modo necesariamente esquematizado, intento anotar las diferentes etapas de la consolidacion y del desarrollo de los museos, de sus organos tutelares y de su encuadramiento legal. Los anos de 1990 corresponden al boom de los museos, principalmente los museos locales y de tutela municipal. El analisis continua notando como algunas dinamicas presentes al comienzo ? como las ideas de movilizacion y un sentimiento fuerte de comunidad ? se sumen y los esfuerzos se orientan mas a la resolucion de problemas funcionales de los museos. Como finalizacion propongo una re-conceptualizacion de la nocion del patrimonio para que sea posible que los museos cumplan mejor sus funciones sociales.PALABRAS CLAVE: Museos locales.
