Infrared Spectroscopy in H2O, D2O and CH3OH:

Frederick C. Nachod; Catherine M. Martini

As the technique of infrared spectroscopy has developed, more and more problems have arisen where it would be desirable to be able to measure the infrared spectrum of a compound in water or alcoholic solutions.

Applied Spectroscopy | 1953

Inexpensive Hot Stage for Infrared Spectrometry

Frederick C. Nachod; Catherine M. Martini

Infrared absorption work dealing with low-melting solids (below 100°C.) made it desirable to design a hot stage which could be employed without any changes to the beam allignment of the spectrometer. A horizontal heating stage is commercially available which, however, necessitates refocussing of the beam.
