Existence and multiplicity results for nonlinear boundary value problems

This paper studies the existence of positive solutions for a class of boundary value problems of elliptic degenerate equations. By using bifurcation and fixed point index theories in the frame of approximation arguments, the criteria of the existence, multiplicity and nonexistence of positive solutions are established.

Existence of the second positive radial solution for a p-Laplacian problem

We investigate the existence, nonexistence, and multiplicity of positive radial solutions for the p-Laplacian problem with boundary parameters. For proofs, we mainly use a combination of a fixed point theorem, the method of upper and lower solutions, and fixed point index theory in the frame of the ordinary differential equation (ODE) technique.
