EGG VOLUME AND SURFACE AREA CALCULATIONSBASED ON MACHINE VISION

Egg volume(V) and surface area(S) are two important geometrical calculations for the poultry industry and in biological studies, as they can be used in research on population and ecological morphology, and to predict chick weight, egg hatchability, shell quality characteristics, and egg interior parameters. With machine vision technology, the objective of the research herein was to develop a much more fast and available method to predict them. Besides, the researcher gave the definition of Volume in Pixels (Vp) and Surface area in Pixels (Sp) for the first time. Finally, new linear models were established. The R value for volume model is 0.88 and surface area is 0.86. The prediction ability of the models are: for volume, the correctness reaches 52% with ± 1cm3 statistical errors, 89% with ± 2cm3, for surface, the correctness reaches 49% with ±1cm2 statistical errors , 87% with ±2 cm2.

Application and Research of Man-Machine Interface and Communication Technique of Mobile Information Acquisition Terminal in Facility Production

As long as the deepen application of the Object Network Technology in the facility construction, a hot topics in research is coming out, that is how to achieve mobile operation through convenient and high-efficiency multiple resources utilization, in order to increase the proportion of the efficiency and output for the high tech facility in manufacture. The mobile collection terminals could display, transfer and collect the information from wireless sensor network high efficiency. This terminal will play an important role in the Object Network Technology application system, comparing to the others, it has such advantages of the good man-machine interaction (MMI) and reliable communication technology. We develop a mobile information collection terminal basic on the wireless sensor network, the information collection technology adopts the APC240 module to realize the wireless sensor data collection by the MODBUS Agreement; adopt wireless communication module to transfer the GPRS data; MMI realize the screen touch operation, also transplant the uC/OS+GUI making the operation more simply and understandably. This system is much convenience for more rural people to operate in daily work and with more application in agricultural construction in the future.

Application of Modbus Protocol Based on μC /TCPIP in Water Saving Irrigation in Facility Agricultural

As long as the deepen application of the Intelligent equipment technology in the Water Saving Irrigation, a hot topics in research is coming out, that is how to increase the proportion of the efficiency and output for the high tech facility in manufacture. The Modbus protocol based on u C/TCPIP will play an important role in the Water Saving Irrigation application system, comparing to the others, it has such advantages of the Reliability of communication technology and real-time performance. After analyzing components of Modbus/TCP protocol, we applied it on real-time u C/OS-II kernel and ARM7 software and hardware and hardware environment with Modbus frame embedded in TCP frame. Test results show that Modbus/TCP protocol can achieve industrial standards. The protocol realizes the interconnection of control network and information network and has a broad application prospect in the agricultural water saving irrigation.

Development of the Meter for Measuring Pork Quality Based on the Electrical Characteristics

The excitation frequency on the electrical characteristics of pork had been identified by the experiments of the electrical characteristics and the theory of electrical characteristics, the relationship between the evaluation of quality of pork and the impedance characteristics was established, and a non-destructive portable meter for measuring pork quality was developed. The functions of each hardware and software design of the meter were described in detail. The result shows that the conductivity of the pork increases with the level of corruption by the experiment of the measurement selected sample of pork. The pork quality meter based on the electrical characteristics provides the measurement method and apparatus of a low-cost, rapid, qualitative assessment of pork quality.
