We have searched for the production and decay of light supersymmetric baryons produced in 800 GeV/c proton copper interactions in a charged hyperon beam experiment. We observe no evidence for the decays R{sup +}(uud{tilde g}){r_arrow} S{sup 0}(uds{tilde g}){pi}{sup +} and X{sup -}(ssd{tilde g}){r_arrow} S{sup 0}(uds{tilde g}){pi}{sup -} in the parent mass and lifetime ranges of 1700{endash}2500 MeV/c{sup 2} and 50{endash}500ps. Production upper limits for R{sup +} at x{sub F}=0.47, P{sub t}=1.4GeV/c{sup 2} and X{sup -} at x{sub F}=0.48, P{sub t}=0.65GeV/c{sup 2} of less than 10{sup -3} of all charged secondary particles produced are obtained for all but the highest masses and shortest lifetimes predicted. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}

The measurement of KNN,KLLINpd →nX and p9Be→nX at 800 MeV☆

Abstract The polarization transfer parameters,KNN and KLL, have been measured in p d→ n X and p 9Be→ n X at 0° and 800 MeV. The quasifree p d→ n X values for KNN and KLL are close to the free n-p measured values. The rather large values of KLL demonstrate that this transfer mechanism will provide a useful source of polarized neutrons at medium energies.

Abstract The results of the BTeV silicon pixel detector beam test carried out at Fermilab in 1999–2000 are reported. The pixel detector spatial resolution has been studied as a function of track inclination, sensor bias, and readout threshold.

The measurement of KNN and KLL in at 800 MeV

G. Glass; T. S. Bhatia; J.C. Hiebert; L. C. Northcliffe; W. B. Tippens; B.J. VerWest; C. L. Hollas; Charles Ray Newsom; R. D. Ransome; P. J. Riley; G. P. Pepin; B. E. Bonner; J. E. Simmons

Abstract The spin-transfer parameters K NN and K LL have been measured for at 0° and 800 MeV for neutron momenta between 700 and 1200 MeV c . Peak values of K NN and K LL are −0.30 ± 0.05 and −0.5 ± 0.1 respectively. These results are in substantial disagreement with VerWests field theoretic model.
