3D Seismic Acquisition Design For a Large Port

There are complex surface and dynamic environments in a large port. 3D seismic acquisition faces a lot of challenges such as strong ambient noise, difficult receiver deployment, and abnormal shooting, which result in the incomplete data, the low S/N ratio, and so on. To solve the problems, in this paper, we present 3D seismic acquisition design methods for a large port including land and marine seamless connecting, unique shot and receiver layout, receiver line infill, broadside geometry design etc. which have been applied and we have obtained desirable results in BH project.

Application of general spatial resolution in seismic survey design

Summary The general spatial resolution is relevant to offset, so it should be taken into account in seismic survey design. In this paper we determine maximum offset by studying the decreasing rate of spatial resolution, and analyze some application effects. The principle by which we determine the maximum offset based on the decreasing rate of spatial resolution could be referred to in seismic survey design.
