New Abnormal Cervical Cell Detection Method of Multi-Spectral Pap Smears

Considering the problem of traditional cervical cancer detection method that brings high false negative rate (FNR) and high false positive rate (FPR), a new abnormal cervical cells detection method of multi-spectral Pap smear is proposed in this thesis, on the basis of multi-spectral microscopic imaging technology and computer automotive recognition technology. At first, image in a specific wave band is segmented according to the relationship between intensity and spectrum of each pixel. Then, multi-spectral features of each pixel are extracted making use of improved cosine correlation analysis (CCA) algorithm. Combined with the characteristic of each cell’s area, final definition is made. Experiments have proved the new approach could identify abnormal cells efficiently as well as lower FNR and FPR.

An improved double-threshold method based on gradient histogram

This paper analyzes the characteristics of the output gradient histogram and shortages of several traditional automatic threshold methods in order to segment the gradient image better. Then an improved double-threshold method is proposed, which is combined with the method of maximum classes variance, estimating-area method and double-threshold method. This method can automatically select two different thresholds to segment gradient images. The computer simulation is performed on the traditional methods and this algorithm and proves that this method can get satisfying result.

Automatic measurement of two dimensional object

Some core techniques related with automatic measurement of two dimensional object are discussed. Two kinds of corner point detecting methods are given. Least square fitting is used for edge line fitting. Region selection for accurate measurement is proposed. Combined with image recognition, location and macro recording file, automatic measurement of two dimensional object is realized.

Integrated joint source-channel symbol-by-symbol decoding of variable-length codes using 3-D MAP sequence estimation

Most of multimedia schemes employ variable-length codes (VLCs) like Huffman code as core components in obtaining high compression rates. However VLC methods are very sensitive to channel noise. The goal of this paper is to salvage as many data from the damaged packets as possible for higher audiovisual quality. This paper proposes an integrated joint source-channel decoder (I-JSCD) at a symbol-level using three-dimensional (3-D) trellis representation for first-order Markov sources encoded with VLC source code and convolutional channel code. This method combines source code and channel code state-spaces and bit-lengths to construct a two-dimensional (2-D) state-space, and then develops a 3-D trellis and a maximum a-posterior (MAP) algorithm to estimate the source sequence symbol by symbol. Experiment results demonstrate that our method results in significant improvement in decoding performance, it can salvage at least half of (50%) data in any channel error rate, and can provide additional error resilience to VLC stream like image, audio, video stream over high error rate links.

Serial peripheral interface communication between MCU EM78P447A and RF reader IC MF RC530

A significant method in the way the MCU EM78P447A manipulates the RF reader IC MF RC530s functions used in RF IC card application is presented. In this paper, RF reader IC MF RC530s SPI compatible interface is introduced. The kernel technologies including SPI connection, software design, register initiation, request-response between the reader IC and the MCU, authentication and the proper format of the key are explained. Adopting the serial peripheral interface is the innovation in the paper. The SPI communication mode proves feasible and precise. Furthermore, in the way we avoid the abuse of parallel interface.

Application of two migration methods for ground penetrating radar data

This paper begins with the basic principles of finite-difference migration and diffraction scan migration, and then compares the processing results of the practical ground penetrating radar GPR data with these two migration methods. It is illustrated that migration can refocus the reflecting points in radar record to their true spatial location and provide the foundation for interpretation, thus improving precision of interpretation of (GPR) profiles.

Research on data combination for Phased-array Ground Penetrating Radar

To resolve the data combination of Phased-array Ground Penetrating Radar (PAGPR), we first build a model of PAGPR and a layered model, and then a new data combination algorithm is presented based on it. This method calculates time delay of multi-receivers, basing on the signal of the nearest receiver, then shifts other signals and adds them up, and gets one signal at last. It has been proved that this method can restrain noise, multiple waves, clutter waves and improve the precision of time location. In the end, an example is given to prove the methods efficiency.

An improved method to get fuzzy threshold

It is offered a new method to get Fuzzy threshold in this article. First, the fundamental principals of Image Segmentation is showed, as well as some characteristics of threshold. And then, the custom Fuzzy Binary method are stated. In order to solve the problem that the parameters of custom Fuzzy threshold are difficult to set, combined with other custom and easy-to-accomplish binary methods, bypassing the problem smartly, we can get the both merits of these two. Whats more, the method is very easy and clear. It is proved effective by practice, and can get good performance in similar situations.

The Serial Communication Based on Multithreading Technique of Windows

Present a kind of method which is used to communicate between serial serial port and peripheral equipment dynamicly and real-time using multithreading technique based on the basic principle of communication and multitasking mechanism in the circumstance of Windows. This method resolves the question of Real-time answering in the serial communication validly, reduces losing rate of data and improves reliability of system. This article presents a general method used in the serial communication which is practical.

Lens Calibration Without Pre-Designated Distortion Model and Corresponding Points

A new lens calibration method which is suitable for all kinds of cameras is presented. Based on the linear feature in the image, this method does not require the determination of point correspondence between a scene and the image of the scene. By applying B-spline surface fitting, all kinds of lens distortion models can be simulated. The control points of B-spline surface are estimated iteratively to extract linear feature from the distorted image. Compared with traditional calibration method, which requires either corresponding point pairs or distortion model of lens, or both of them, this method has its unique advantage. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the method.
